Full Upper Dental Implants

Where and how does someone get a set of full upper teeth? My Dental Implant Center can help! Facing day-to-day life with many missing or rotting teeth is not something anyone should have to live with. It is our utmost joy to help restore the smile and oral health of people every day. And if this is something you need, we would love to help you, too!

What are Full Upper Dental Implants?

To replace all the teeth on the upper part of the mouth, a full upper denture is one option, and full upper dental implants are another option. While either option will replace the missing teeth, there are some significant differences between the two, making implants the preferred solution for most patients. One of the key differences is that a traditional denture is a device that must be removed before sleeping and replaced when a person is ready to start their day. Adhesive is used to affix the denture to the gums. Implants, on the other hand, are permanently attached with titanium posts that stimulate the jawbone, thereby making it stronger and healthier. Most upper removable dentures cover the palate (roof of mouth), which some patients cannot get used to. These are just some of the reasons full upper implants are the preference of most of our patients.

The benefits of Full Upper Dental Implants

To recap, benefits of full upper implants are:

  • Permanently secured: sleep, eat, brush them just as you would natural teeth.
  • No bone loss due to lack of jawbone stimulation.
  • The roof of the mouth remains uncovered, so you can feel and taste normally.
  • The roof of the mouth remains uncovered, so you can feel and taste normally.

Plus, implants are:

  • More natural-looking
  • Longer lasting. Dentures last only 5 – 10 years on average. Implants can reliably last much longer, often a lifetime.

What is the procedure?

Before deciding on the best dental procedure for you, My Dental Implant Center will invite you in for a free consultation. In this initial meeting, you will likely receive X-rays and other imaging methods to properly assess your situation. It seems no two patients are the same when it comes to dental needs. All of the options that meet your needs will be explained to you, including associated costs and timelines. You will be given ample time to ask questions. Dr. Fulcher wants you to feel 100% confident in the decision you make.

If you decide that full upper implants are for you, your procedure will be scheduled at a date and time that works for your schedule. On the day of the procedure, some form of anesthesia will be used to numb the area, so that you don’t feel any pain or discomfort. Depending on your specific case, either local or general anesthesia may be best, as there are a few different types of implants, requiring different specifications. If there are teeth that need extracting, that will be the first step in the procedure.

The doctor may be able to use the existing site where a tooth was extracted to place the titanium post in. This could mean no incision and no drilling in that location. If needed, Dr. Fulcher will make tiny incisions to place the titanium posts. Typically, patients leave the office with new teeth the same day.

Your beautiful teeth will be made of the finest quality material- zirconia. Not only will you have the sturdy, secure, white teeth you have been dreaming of, but they come with a Lifetime Guarantee! Your new confident smile comes with peace of mind and you’re worth it.
