To determine if All-on-8 dental implants are a good choice for you, Dr. Fulcher and his team of dental professionals will conduct a thorough examination and evaluation. Imaging will be ordered, as it is necessary to understand your dental structure and bone density. But a high-level explanation of the procedure is that patients are typically placed under general anesthesia. The doctor makes tiny incisions in the gum and inserts titanium posts into the jawbone. (Remember, under general anesthesia, you will not feel any of this.) You will leave that procedure with a temporary set of new teeth. Once you have healed for several weeks, you will return and your final, custom, new, healthy teeth will be placed. You will be able to spend the rest of your life eating, speaking, and smiling just as if these are the teeth you were born with!
